Summer in Japan!!

Went back to my home town for 2 weeks and its 35 celsius there!! Hotter than Bali yo! Its been 4 years since i go back to Japan. I really missed it! especially my grandparents. I always stick with them since i was a kid so i haven't go and explore outside Yokohama much. I sometimes go to Harajuku to shop and Shibuya to only see the legendary Hachiko Statue. Only that. So i never explore Harajuku, Shibuya and even Tokyo itself.

2 days before going home, i fell down the stairs. My suitcase was heavy and i just lost my balance bcuz of it... *Dont shop too much. its gonna hurt you and your wallet hohoho*😂Aaaand i injured my left ankle because of it. But its still a super fun trip and it made me use a wheelchair and its my first time using it! *another new first time! when is the last time you tried something for the first time?* 😜😏

Okiiiiee so im gonna share you the places that i went, eat, play, walk, shop, bath, EVERYTHING since day one!

3. Tanabata Festival

If you are in Japan around July, you MUST go to Tanaba Festival! This festival begins on 7th of July. Japanese people celebrate it by writing wishes on a small piece of paper and they hang it on a bamboo. They also sells a lot of super delicious local snacks, drinks, and sweets! You can also wear your Yukata for this festival. The Tanabata Festival that i went is at Fujisawa and they say the biggest Tanabata Festival is at Sendai.

Tanabata Story:

Orihime, daughter of the Tentei ( Sky King, or the universe itself), wove beautiful clothes by the bank of the Amanogawa (天の川 Milky Way, lit. "heavenly river"). Her father loved the cloth that she wove and so she worked very hard every day to weave it. However, Orihime was sad that because of her hard work she could never meet and fall in love with anyone. Concerned about his daughter, Tentei arranged for her to meet Hikoboshi who lived and worked on the other side of the Amanogawa. When the two met, they fell instantly in love with each other and married shortly thereafter. However, once married, Orihime no longer would weave cloth for Tentei and Hikoboshi allowed his cows to stray all over Heaven. In anger, Tentei separated the two lovers across the Amanogawa and forbade them to meet. Orihime became despondent at the loss of her husband and asked her father to let them meet again. Tentei was moved by his daughter’s tears and allowed the two to meet on the 7th day of the 7th month if she worked hard and finished her weaving. The first time they tried to meet, however, they found that they could not cross the river because there was no bridge. Orihime cried so much that a flock of magpies came and promised to make a bridge with their wings so that she could cross the river. It is said that if it rains on Tanabata, the magpies cannot come and the two lovers must wait until another year to meet. (Source; Wikipedia)

The History of Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse

The Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, a major tourist spot in Yokohama, is a cultural and commercial facility that utilizes two historical buildings constructed more than a century ago. It was built as a government bonded warehouse during the Meiji and Taisho eras and, as Japan’s first modern port facility, played an important role in the nation’s development. It stopped being used as a warehouse in 1989, later undergoing nine years of conservation and renovation work until reopening in 2002 as a cultural and commercial facility.
